Welcome to the Cultural Resource Management Program (often called “CRM”). CRM is a unit of the Eberly College of Arts & Sciences – Department of History. Our program has a unique multidisciplinary instructional mission. From a student perspective, the program offers a graduate certificate in Cultural Resource Management which compliments almost any graduate program in the University, or it may be obtained separately by those who may not wish to enroll in a complete graduate degree program.
However, the program offers much more than a graduate certificate. CRM partners with other WVU units, and outside entities, to perform valuable service to the community, state, and region. Our students and partners alike come from diverse backgrounds, with a variety of needs. Whether it is helping survey an historic building, providing continuing education, or taking students on an archaeological field school, our program is on the forefront of instruction and service in the world of Cultural Resource Management.
By now you may be wondering, “What is CRM?” I invite you to look through our website to learn about CRM and the program at WVU. You may find it to be a most rewarding fit with your graduate studies. After you have read the information, please feel free to call or email me at any time with questions or comments. We look forward to welcoming you to CRM!
